FAQs

We have answered some of our most asked questions below but if you have any specific questions, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

  • My travel plans have changed, how do I amend my booking?
    We understand that travel plans sometimes change and we will be happy to accommodate you as best as we can with date changes. But please remember, Isla gets fully booked during high-season and so sometimes it may not be in our capabilities to fulfil your request. Please email info@islaexperience.com with as much notice as possible.
  • What is the best way to book?
    Here on our website! We will always offer the cheapest price here in comparison to our booking partners.
  • What should I expect?
    Isla Experience is located on a very small remote island. Our staff have worked very hard to ensure our guests are as comfortable as possible! We have mattresses, mosquito nets, toilets, showers, fans, and electricity. However, if you're looking for luxury - this isn't for you. We do not have air con, hot water, or TVs. There may be insects, slow phone connection, and sometimes our power may cut out for a few moments. But this is the island experience in its true form and countless reviews commend us on our clean toilets, unique beach huts with insane views, and epic vibes!
  • Do you accept card?
    Whilst you are on the island, there are no ATMs or card machines so please bring enough cash with you for your stay.
  • How do I get to the island?
    Visit our "Getting to us" page for more information. - Isla is just a 1 hour drive north of El Nido - Regular boat pick up from Teneguiban (Included in price) is just a 15 minute crossing - Arrive by tricycle or we can arrange a private pick up for extra cost
  • Do you serve food?
    Yes! Our local Filipino staff cook amazing food for you, every day! We serve breakfast (8AM), lunch (12PM), and dinner (7PM) buffet style, but don't worry about the timings, we will make sure to let you know when food is ready. We also cater to certain dietary requires but please make us aware of this before hand
  • Do you have toilets?
    Yes, we have 2 combined toilet and shower blocks on the island, regularly cleaned by our housekeeping team.
  • What time is check-in and check-out?
    Check-in: 14:00 Check-out: 11:00 We are happy for you to leave your bags with us before you check-in and after you check-out so you can make the most of your time with us!
  • What if I would like to extend my stay once I arrive?
    Just speak to our staff who will kindly assist you with your request. If we have availability, we will happily extend your stay so you can stay with us longer!
  • What animals do you have at Isla?
    We currently have 3 pigs, 10 ducks, and a chicken as our Isla pets ◡̈ (but don't worry, our chicken doesn't cockadoodledoo!) Sometimes the occasional island dog or cat comes to say hello too
